Singapore Fireworks Festival: Italy

Someone told me that we are not paying for public toilets anymore because the gov knows how tight our budget is due to the price hike for all transportation mode. I prefer them to continue collecting 10 cents per entry cos i always use hotels or shopping center's toilet which are a lot more cleaner and the cubicle comes with tissue papers.

Went to witness the Singapore Fireworks Festival yesterday. I was standing at one of the staircase in Marina Square thinking that i could get a better view up higher ground. Hm.. as usual we are not always correct on the first try. My view was blocked by another building. Damn!! I was there an hour before everything started. It was packed with people everywhere. I had problems looking for a place to sit or stand just to witness the festival. Looks like there are little things to do in Singapore else there won't be so much people there for one small occation.

Back to the fireworks display. Today was Italy's night to perform. As usual, things began with a count down and its show time.

Loud explosion could be heard. Deafening, but got use to it very soon.

Team Italia's display is around 20 mins. Er.. not very impressive i must say. There is no rythym no sequence. Just like children lighting firecrackers during Chinese New Year.
or maybe i am too far from Esplanade hence did not hear the music or theme that they are using??

Notice all the small little blue lights? These people are all using their handphone to take pictures of the fireworks.

I think i must have got the wrong viewing position compare to the rest of the people as they shout in awe i was like "just ordinary fireworks display nia ma.. whats so facinating??".

Thats the finale, which always ends with quite a bang. Anyway i have problem shooting at the correct moment. Its either too early or too late. -_-"

Behold.... the saying is true.. "Chew tor lao kao sua.." (monkeys scatter when the tree fell)

Oh ya, last but not least. Do not use the underpass as there will be thousands of people flocking here and there and they will jam up the underpass therefore forcing you to let other people smell or worse, smell armpits depending on your height.

PS:~ Gotta thank my gf for being my tripod. If you spot a guy who keep resting his arm on a girl's shoulder while taking pictures, thats probably me. I was born with shaky hands, naturally not made to be a photographer but its a hobby and some moments that we would like to keep.
