Hmm... Singapore election is just round the corner. Those stupid propaganda van are beginning to get very irritating. Words are flying here and there just like the way i play badminton. Focus on your opponent, when opportunity strikes give it a 45 deg jumping smash. Your opponent will be too lazy to run to the open court where you aimed. Remember, prison got no broadband...

Rite.... can hear you squirming "What?? Another of that idiot's Thai trip story again??" Well, unlike Kenny who went to Phuket Island, i am there to work. So not much of those juicy details and wonderful pictures. I take as and when i can.
I requested our Company in Thai to make the reservation for us. My first impression of the hotel was not very good. "Amari?? Never heard of it. Sounds like almari to me." As i was the organizer for the whole seminar, its a little disturbing if the accomodation was not up to standard. I have to trust my colleagues in Thai are doing a good job since they told me its was our corporate hotel, then it shouldn't be that bad i suppose.
We were greeted by the resort's open air lobby. Really very nice and soothing.
As usual, i was wrong.... the place was fantastic. It has a large compound in front and looks kind of posh with a little Thai flavour in it. Fantastic!! Everybody loves it when we reach.
The bedrooms..... well clean and looks comfortable. Not too spacious though. So.. what do i do everytime i go outside country and have to reside in hotels har? Dunno lah read some books and also obtain from some elders. To my knowledge these are the few things that i usually do.
1) Knock the door before entering.
2) Switch on all lights when you enter the room
3) Apologize for intrusion and announce that you will be here for a few days
4) Open all curtains and let the sun lights brighten the room.
If you have had experienced what horrible things i went through, you'll do anything that seems stupid to you now. And some of the other things that i do for my own precaution.
1) Look for hidden cameras. You don't want to be a "star" do you? Man, i'll look at the air con ducts, the ventilation unit and curtain areas. Best equipment to use is a torch light. Dim the lights and shine at the intended area. Lens usually reflect a certain degree of lights.
2) Any unwanted things or things that doesn't belongs to you. You seriously don't want to get into trouble when you are in someone else's land.
3) Hotel Mini bar. Damn some hotel staff took and ate something then you will be accountable for it. And you know how hotel charges for those hors devours. -__-"
I am very particular about clean toilets too. Don't like to have a cracked bath tub. Just imagine when you return from a tough day, all you want to do is soak in the tub with warm water. When your lie down the crack opens by your body weight but you were not aware of anything until the moment you lift your body up and the crack pinches your pantat. Damn......... potong steam...
Nice clean toilet. Notice how white the sink and tiles are?
Compliments from the hotel. 2 bottles of mineral water. Well there is always the fruit basket and a small box containing one chocolate but there is nothing special about those. Who says mineral water bottles doesn't kills? These are made out of thick glass ok? I can probably pound meat with them. Should there be any intruder, i just throw them a bottle.
There is too much good things in this facility. Fitness room, lobby bar, swimming pool, near the beach, shops, restaurants etc... I would definately be going back there should i organize any company related events again. Price wise its not as costly as Marriotts but certainly a luxury of its kind.
Man, i am making free advertisement for the resort. Hope some kind souls from the premises sees the comment and give me some free lodging or some interesting packages.
