I change from my regular REPUS 3 in 1 coffee to another brand called Rold Goast which is recommended by our friendly neighbourhood ghost. Guess what....? As usual, her QC failed. I am gonna switch brand again. I think its better to trust my own instinct.

Indonesia once again rock by mother nature's fury. If you look clearly the entire island is situated on the edge of the Eurasian tectonic plate which brushes with the Australian plates from time to time. This place majority of the southern part of Indonesian islands in the vicinity of the earthquake's epicenter. Talk about an unstable ground to settle down.
This picture shows all the tectonic plates on earth. Courtesy of Wikipedia. (For a clearer picture please click. Blogspot dun allow me to resize it. -___-")
A look at some deadly earthquakes in Indonesia since 2000:
- May 27, 2006: A magnitude-6.2 quake flattens homes and hotels near the ancient central city of Yogyakarta, killing more than 3,000 and injuring thousands more in the nation's worst disaster since the 2004 tsunami.
- March 28, 2005: A magnitude-8.7 quake strikes Nias and Simeulue islands off the western coast of Sumatra, killing about 900 people and flattening thousands of houses and bridges.
- Dec. 26, 2004: A magnitude-9 earthquake ruptures the sea floor off Sumatra island, triggering a tsunami that hits a dozen countries, including Indonesia, where at least 131,029 are killed and tens of thousands remain missing. The Indonesian province of Aceh is closest to the quake's epicenter and suffers most.
- Nov. 26, 2004: A magnitude-6.4 earthquake rocks Indonesia's West Papua, near Nabire, killing about 30 people and causing dozens of buildings and homes to collapse.
- Nov. 12, 2004: A magnitude-6 quake strikes off the eastern coast of Alor island, about 1,000 miles east of the capital, Jakarta. At least 27 people are killed and hundreds of buildings are damaged.
- Feb. 6-7, 2004: A magnitude-6.9 quake on Feb. 6 and a magnitude-7.1 aftershock the following day kill 34 and devastate Nabire in remote Papua province.
- June 4, 2000: A magnitude-7.9 quake hits Bengkulu province, killing at least 117 people and injuring about 1,900.
- May 4, 2000: A magnitude-7.5 earthquake shakes Sulawesi province, killing at least 35 people and injuring at least 148.

I still remember when Bandar Acheh was hit by the Tsunami incident, A few of us (Ariel, and Bing)from La-Kopi Forums went down to SPH building in Toa Payoh to help sort out the aids given by the public. Its sad to see that it became a dumping ground for people who chuck all their unwanted stuff and regard them as humanitarian aid. Why the heck would someone want a swimming suit when they lost their house and stuff?
People want clothings, towels, medicines, bandages and stuff like that. Some of them are so....... thoughtful they even include the "song kah" (funeral wear) attire set for the whole family. OMG!! I was stunned for a while.
Used underwear still acceptable, used lingerie is ok, used spittoon nevermind, but used diapers!!!! OMG!! Where the heck did these people put their brain? Can't they just buy a few pieces of cloth and donate them? Even if they use it for other purpose at least its fully utilized. Why would any sane people donate stained (i mean really stained) cloth of their baby's waste?
Dear people, if you want to make a donation kindly keep the trash to yourself. Nobody wants your old undies or years of unwashed curtains. Not all are bad though, some provision shop owners donated cans of biscuits and other dry food and thats good.
Anyway i have segregate and sort out some shirts that are still in good condition and if there is a collection, i'll just send mine over.
I am just worried about one thing. With all the recent quakes and eruptions, something big may occur within our lifetime. Let me relate what happen in 1883 which was recorded by some people who were there.
The explosions were so violent that they were heard 2,200 miles (3,500 km) away in Australia and the island of Rodrigues near Mauritius, 4,800 km away; the sound of Kxxxxxxa's destruction is believed to be the loudest sound in recorded history, reaching levels of 180 dBSPL 100 miles (160 km) away. Ash was propelled to a height of 50 miles (80 km). The eruptions diminished rapidly after that point, and by the morning of August 28 Kxxxxxxa was quiet.
In the aftermath of the eruption, it was found that the island of Kxxxxxxa had almost entirely disappeared, except for half of the cone of Rakata cut off along a vertical cliff, leaving behind a 250m-deep caldera.
The official death toll recorded by the Dutch authorities was 36,417 and many settlements were destroyed, including Teluk Betung and Ketimbang in Sumatra, and Sirik and Semarang in Java. The areas of Bantam on Java and the Lampongs on Sumatra were devastated. Ships as far away as South Africa rocked as tsunamis hit them, and the bodies of victims were found floating in the ocean for weeks after the event.
The 1883 eruption of Kxxxxxxa is among the most violent volcanic events in modern times (a VEI of 6, equivalent to 200 megatons of TNT - about 13000 times the yield of the Little Boy bomb which devastated Hiroshima, Japan). Concussive air waves from the explosions travelled seven times around the world, and the sky was darkened for days afterwards. Waves from the tsunamis were recorded as far away as the English Channel.
You guess what event this is...lol..
Lets just pray that the earth would return to its equilibrium state in a less violent manner.
