Wishing all muslim a Selamat Hari Raya Puasa after a long month of fasting, its time to celebrate and feast. I understand the feeling of not getting to eat and salivating while others are savouring but whatever, its over. You will only get to fast again in the next year.

Haze is probably bringing everybody down. Efficiency of the entire workforce has dropped by a few percentage. Why is that so?

1) People with sensitive nose will sneeze and keep blowing their snort. With the time lost to blowing and wiping, that would amount to 5% of efficiency lost
2) People tend to avoid going out to the open, sales drop as the amount of visits and call decreased. They would rather stay in their office with the comfy of the air conditioner.
3) Same point as no.2 if there are less people out in the streets, bill boards fail to communitcate, shopping centres suffer loss in patronage, and consumer goods will not move.
4) Everybody will blame any signs of sickness at the haze. e.g. tooth ache.
5) Everyone has the mentality that the air at home will be fresher and the conditions are better. So how many air purifier units you have at home har?

On the sunny side, at least some industries are celebrating as sales rocketed.
A) Power industries: Electricity bill soared as usage of air con increases as retards thought that the filter in air con would help to clean the air. How effective is the filter from your air con har? Does the unit measure in micron?
B) Electrical appliances: Sales of air con unit and air purifier. Reason same as A but logically how much air can you filter unless you are breathing directly from the machine. So if you have 5 in a family you are gonna buy 5 air purifiers and have them hosed directly to your nose? Your walking radius would only be as far as the wire could go? You are wearing diapers because you cannot hold your breath that long?
C) Gas mask: Not as much as its a good to have but not really a must have item. As the people here are kiasu, kiasi and kia lao kui, they would not want to be regarded as a walking Darth Vader among other commons.
D) Medicine: Astmatic sprays, cream for skin irritation and eye drops.
E) Paper industries, mainly tissue papers. You got to use something to wipe them snorts.

On the other hand, it makes people cherish the only thing that is still free. Yes our air, but sooner or later you'll have to pay for it too.
