Newborn

Went to Kandang Kerbau Hospital (ox pen, funny name for a maternity hospitial) to pay my friend a visit. The damn hospital was a little misleading. The signs are a little vague and the few of us are a little lost till we get some direction from the nurses. Somehow it doesn't have the traditional medical smell instead it smells of curry chicken the whole time when we are there.

This is a place where i must behave myself. No talking and laughing out loud. Nurses will come running to you giving you the "shhh...." treatment telling you "boy, this is a hospital not a playground". Anyway the place looks bare and when you talk it always echoes.

Congrats to Sean, who has just upgraded from manhood (the state or time of being a man or adult male person; male maturity not male genitalia) to parenthood. The first thing he showed us when we entered the ward is not his baby but the scars on his arms which his wife bestowed upon him during labour. He went to a corner touching and brushing his wounds when he got the idea that we are not there to console him

My winning picture. Talk about inborn talent, she sure know when to smile for the camera.

The baby looks so fragile, i don't even dare to touch her. I notice the size of the baby and its amazing to know that the human body have an orifice that excrete something that big. No wonder they keep calling children a pain in the ass ... well maybe somewhere near the ass.
