Felt good to be back in a place that i am familiar with. Just a bit funny when i don't get to drink whisky at night.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Something was not right when i started the journey. The bloody taxi driver took me for a ride. He made some unnecessary turns to which the total duration is longer and all that just to earn an additional 1 buck? Whatever, i can't be bothered as i am claiming the fare hence i'll act blur and let him off.
The airport was crowded and i had this tingling sense that something is not right again. Long queues can be seen everywhere, for a moment i thought the computer system is down and its lagging everything and everyone. Went to check on my check-in lane and i am gonna bloody miss the flight if i queue up like everybody else.

Lines of queues found in Changi.
So i went around looking for an opportunity, and i had to put on the "kelian" (pitiful) mask to approach the attendant at an empty counter. I querried on the internet check-in counter that enables passenger to obtain their boarding pass should they done it online. I was told that despite checking in via internet i still have to come down physically to the airport 1 hour before flight to queue up and collect my boarding pass. Deh.... stupid deh... then why the bloody hell do you have the bloody internet check in for?
Much older system: Show up 1.5hours before departure, queue up to check in and board plane 20 mins before flight time
Old system: Internet check-in, show up 20 mins before departure, board plane 10 mins before flight time.
New System: Internet check-in, show up 1 hour before departure to queue up and obtain your boarding pass, board plane 20 mins before flight time.
Deh... why twist your hand behind your head to slap a mosquito on your forehead? Unless what i was told is untrue, it seems like the improvement is going backwards.
Anyway, at least something never changed. I told them that i was not aware of the changes and my flight was 30 mins away. Its a good thing that the attendant helped me with my boarding pass and i was able to avoid queuing up. Yay!!
Things are back on track again. I was able to have a quick stroll to look at the Christmas deco in the airport and made a bee line to my boarding gate and found my seat next to an ang moh girl. I happen to look out the window when the plane is climbing to its crusing altitude and i was a little shocked to see something flew off the plane!!

Left, picture of the entire wing. Right, an empty slot in the pointed thingy where the cover was blown off.
This plastic or rubber piece of thingy that is covering the other thingy from the flaps of the plane was blown away while we are in the air. Is that suppose to happen or can we cruise the sky without the little cover? This little thing is located on the starboard wing of flight SQ60. I wanted to tell the flight stewardess but was afraid that i might create a stir and i forgot about it when we safely landed in Thailand. -__-"

Did you see 2 giant caterpillars?
Suvarnabhumi (Pronounced as Suvarnabhum, pali-sanskrit origin) airport is beautiful and it looks like a few gigantic caterpillars criss-crossing each other. It is a 4 storey building with more shops than pedestrian walkway.

Despite having shifted to a new airport, the efficiency is still the same.
I met my Thai friend and we proceed to Rayong which is 1.5 hrs away and begin our work. The rest of the day is plain old boring work stuff. Meetings, warehouse organizing, locating items and such.

Thais worshipped their king. You don't see these signs held for LKY or Nathan. In Sg, we only see white elephants signs.
At night we went to a place called EcoBar. Nice surrounding and very good music to match the fantastic ambience. The live band can really control the massive crowd with their songs and music. Too dark to really take any photos but i broke my glass of whisky and had to hide the mess under the table.
