POTONG STEAM OF THE DAY:
My China trip was cancelled because the parent company just issue a profit protection program. 他妈的!!

情人桥 also known as lover's bridge is situated near to the Minyak Beku beach in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. It has been there for decades ever since my grand father's time and still its still there.
It is actually a long jetty stretching out into the straits of Melacca. Fisher man would anchor or secure their boats to the foot of the jetty.
Originate from a rural Chinese fishing village, they have schools, houses, provision shops, anything you name to cater for a daily livelihood. True enough, there are still no Malays staying there...
During the olden days, the people doesn't really make plans. Houses were build in a scattered manner and roads are build avoiding them hence our route to the jetty as not a direct one.
Joan standing on the jetty. Its low tide, nothing to see other than mud. When the tide is in, water would usually reach the shore.
A temple facing the sea to commemorate "Ma Zhu", Goddess of the ocean which usual sailors and fishermen prays for a save and fruitful journey.
It is also rumoured that couples who brought their steads there would not have a lasting relationship. My case was different. I am not the one who brought Joan to the place. My dad brought us there. =D
There are a few lamp post and usually its quite dark at night. The only thing lighting our way would be the light house situated not far from the jetty.
Whoa!! I did not know that there is a radar tower standing taller than the light house.
A temple to honor the Dragon King, seated in the center with all his minions surrounding the palace.
You don't really get to see this often. Tortoise with pineapples growing on their shells or are they ferrying them but to where?
Here are some arapaimas that are in the "Ma Zhu" temple. These 2 are like puppies which kept coming close to you for at pat. From what i know these are ferocious creatures that would bite anything that come close within its maneuvering range. People gave money to these fishes so that they can buy keropok for themselves. Stupid people.... the fish propable would throw back the coin and give them the fin. (fish have no fingers)
Another folklore.... if they fish goes near and let you pat, it means that wealth is coming your way. So where are my TOTO winnings??? Caught this fella with my camera at 16x zoom. Apparently its building its love nest and chasing other males that comes along.
I forgot the name of the restaurant but its built like to the shape of a ship's hull. Food is good and yet cheap. 2 big crabs, fried sotong, hot plate to fu, fried chicken and some veges all for RM60. Don't think you will get this type of price anywhere else.
